The Importance of Self-Care...

Welcome back to my blog lovelies! It's that time of the year where clocks turned backwards, it gets dark early and it's too cold to just hang out outside for no reason. Gloomy days are a regular and it gets harder to get out of bed. Nonetheless, life goes on and gloomy days can be beautiful, too! It's all about what you make out of it with what you have and it's important for yourself to feel well as it affects everything you do, from getting up in the morning to meetings and dinner with friends.

I'm listing 4 things below that I do for self-care:

Spend some 'me-time'

I myself  find it very relaxing to put on a face mask, make myself a fresh mint tea or hot water lemon, sit on my bed, put my phone on silence and watch a series. For me this is a big part of self-care as it simply makes me feel good about myself and I can just switch my mind off. Oh, a spa weekend away is another great way to spend some 'me-time'.

Go to the gym

Another part of self-care for me is going to the gym whenever I feel uncomfortable in my skin (not when society tells me to!) or just to relief stress. It's a good way to take your mind off stress.

Get rid of toxic relationships

If it's boyfriend/girlfriend or friend - distance yourself. You don't need drama, negativity or gossip in your life. There are more important things to do in life, we have work to do and bills to pay. Unfortunately the blogging world has loads of those people and one needs to be very careful who to trust. Staying away from negativity will change your life, I even stopped watching Love and Hip Hop to get my mind right a few years back, haha, but I'm telling you it had an impact on my life.

Social Media Detox

If you're a regular on Social Media like I am, it is good to sometimes just leave your phone alone and do something else. Take your mind off what other people do on Instagram and stop comparing yourself to someone that you're not. Acceptance is the key word girls!

If all that doesn't help, just book a flight and go away.. Traveling is good for the soul!

I hope you liked this post! Have a great evening guys!

Life Update // London Fashion Week

I know this post is a little late but I had so much going on in the past weeks. I basically slept on my friends sofa for 3 weeks because my new flat wasn't finished yet when I moved out of the old one. Very interesting experience as one of the housemates was a mouse that occasionally ran around in the lounge and kitchen and no one really knew where it came from, haha. Then I moved into my new flat and was there for one night before I went on holiday to Jamaica, which was amazing but I'll talk about that in another post... so when I came back everything was in boxes, still packed and I hat a jet lag for about 1 1/2 weeks after I came back and couldn't get around to anything as I had wayyyy too much work. Soooo sorry that this post is late but I really tried my best, haha. Phew!

I'm sure you've followed my London Fashion Week experience on my feed and insta story, so I really just wanted to show you guys my favourite outfits and link where you can get them. LFW is just a great occasion to meet other influencers and people you haven't seen in a while and it's always so much fun to watch the new trends and young designers evolving. It's personally my event favourite event but also a little stressful as you'll be running from one show to another show, haha. I'm linking my outfits below for you guys.
I promise a travel blog post about Jamaica and there's also an interior decoration post coming up somewhen soon to show you guys my new flat.

The Last Days Of Summer

Summer is coming to an end and I'm crying with one eye, or even two. I'm a sun child and colder days make me a little bit sad from time to time but I'll embrace it as much as possible and enjoy the new season, especially in terms of fashion. I said I won't buy any autumn clothes until I come back from my holiday but I've already seen so many amazing new trends, it'll be hard to resist.

If you haven't visited Kew Gardens yet then you definitely missed out! It's a great place to unwind, relax, go for a stroll and explore the attractions and beautiful gardens there. You can literally spend the whole day there with your family or friends. It's even nice to go there on a date!

I used this beautiful space to shoot this amazing maxi dress from Missguided! You guys know I will probably die in a dress but they're just for me and super comfortable. If you're ever looking for a dress, I'm your girl!

I hope you like the pictures!
