My Posts Disappeared | How To Grow Your Following On Instagram

Hey guys!

I don't know what's going on with Instagram at the moment but I heard that I was not the only one yesterday, who almost had a heart attack when 200 of my photos just disappeard. Can you imagine?! All the hard work you put in and all the amazing memories of my holidays were just erased from my feed and I was so upset. I tried to contact Instagram but as they don't have a customer service I wasn't very hopeful that they'll fix the issue. I heard that even people's accounts were deleted馃槺 Imagine!!! After this shock, I woke up this morning and all my pictures were recovered!馃槍 Listen, this almost gave me a heart attack馃槀 but then I realised that at the end of the day it is Instagram and if it goes down one day, life still goes on. If something like this happened to your account and you have a solution, please comment below and help a sister out. Lol

Anyways, I've been asked so many questions about blogging, tips & tricks and how I grow my following so I thought I'm gonna put everything in a blog post for everyone to read and hopefully take something away from it.

Engagement is key!

I can't stress enough how important engagement is. We have this saying Germany, which basically says that if you don't put in work, you don't get anything out of it - this could not be any more accurate. If you don't communicate with your audience, why would they bother following you or trying to engage with you?! I know it can be a pain because really if blogging is not your full-time job then you need to find hours in a day to actually do this and it takes way more time than people imagine. My dear followers, if I don't reply to all your comments, I'm deeply sorry and I'll try to catch up! Bare with me!

Follow back

Don't be that girl who has 30k followers and only follows 100 people only because you think you're too cool to follow people back. Just don't, lol✋馃徑 I understand if you don't want to follow as many people as you have followers but why not follow your main supporters back?! They love you content and they're the ones who hype your pics - Give them a follow girl/boy!

Follow Friday/ Instagram Story

Shout the people out you like to follow or visit their profile on Instagram stories. If it's a big influencer or just a any person, they might return the favour, which will get you exposure to their followers and if they like you they might give you a follow.

Support each other

In the influencer world it is so important to support each other as there's so much competition out here and people might pretend they want to help you but they actually don't and they only help people in their circle. It's sad but be sure that you and your influencer friends support each other in comments, likes, photo credit or shout outs.

Hashtags

It's good to switch up hashtags on a regular basis to what's trending and is most popular to get your account noticed by as many people as possible. Be careful, if you use the same hashtags over and over again and just copy paste them you can get shadow banned, which means that your post is banned from those hashtags and the won't appear when someone looks for it.

Instagram is trying all kinds of stuff to make us pay for ads by changing their algorithm or getting us shadow banned. Don't give up though - You got this!馃挭馃徑

My Life in London | Ice-Watch

If London isn't the most amazing city then I don't know... It was never my dream to move here,  I always wanted to move to Paris, but that's where fate took me, I guess. I don't regret moving to London one but though. London is an amazing city full of opportunities for everyone and what I like most here is the cultural diversity, which is quite limited in Germany where I grew up. London has been a real experience for me coming straight from Uni moving into the concrete jungle. I changed jobs a few times, I learnt about what I really want to do in life and especially on how to be a grown up in a big foreign city without my family. I believe these are experiences you have to make in life to grow as a person, achieve your goals and always be grateful for everything life throws at you, if it's something good, that's great, if it's something less good, it's a lesson.

Loads of people have been asking me what I do for a living besides being an Influencer/ Blogger as I don't really show it much on my IG - I'm a Social Media Manager. It is a great feeling to do what you're passionate about and I don't want to be one of those people who hate their jobs. If you're in your last year of Uni and you suddenly don't know what you actually want to do in life, don't worry! You'll find out when it's time. I applied for a job in London and they offered me a Social Media Marketing position yet I applied for a Buyer position - don't really know how that happened tbh, lol, but that's how I found out what I would really like to do in life! Take it onesie at a time.

London is also the city of fashion and I teamed up with Ice-Watch to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Their most recent collection of watches are stylish and elegant at the same time and will go perfectly with every outfit. I know you all are not surprised that I chose a rose gold one, haha! I'm super happy with the watch and quality and it really goes with every outfit. They have a range of different colours and styles, here's the link to their website to check them out.

I hope you guys liked this post and have an amazing bank holiday weekend!

A Vision in Red

If you've been following me for a while, you know how much I shop at Missguided and how much I love their variety of clothing. I've actually been chasing this dress, first I wasn't sure of the lengths, then it was sold out, then it was back in stock but I was waiting for pay day (let's be honest, who else is waiting for pay day refreshing the page 24\7 馃檮), then it was sold out in my size again and then found it on Missguided Germany finally - What a procedure but every second of it was worth it!馃槄 When I saw it on the website I just thought it's the perfect summer dress and since I'm obsessed with maxi dresses, it was just a MUST! Also, I saw myself walking along the beach with his gorgeous dress blowing in the wind on my next holiday, haha. Stay tuned where I'm traveling to!
Now guys, you can call me crazy but you might have noticed that I got the exact same dress in nude and blue as well馃檲 Don't judge me! Lol! I just think you can't go wrong with this type of dress as it is suitable for every type of occasion and you can dress it down with sandals for a casual chic day look and you can wear it with heels for dinner or drinks. Also, I think it is quite reasonable for a dress like this, the quality is good and it's not a dress you only wear once even though it is quite a statement piece.
I hope you liked this post and I've a got the link to the dress and
a few more pictures down below for you.

Yellow Lace Dress || Marbella

I've been wanting to share this dress with you guys for a while now but there just wasn't the right occasion until my spontaneous trip to Marbella last month. The dress came out last year actually and I've been wanting it ever since I saw it but sometimes I just feel like River Island are going a little overboard with their prices, that's why I left it until I saw it on Asos sale some months ago. Yay! I usually buy when I see something as I'm always scared it's gonna be sold out, but I guess patience paid off this time. I can't really remember how much the original price was for this dress but I believe it was around £70 and I bought it for £36 on Asos. Unfortunately, it's sold out now but I linked a similar one below for you guys.

FLOWER POWER

How can one not love this dress? It ticks all the boxes for me: Flower print, off shoulder, ruffled sleeves & midi lengths! What more can I wish for really?! I bought this dress from SHEIN after watching Patricia Bright's youtube review about them. There were some good and some bad items she bought but I just wanted to see for myself and bought a few items, including this dress. It rather looks like a Zara dress and that's what I liked about the look. I'm absolutely loving the dress, it fits perfectly and it's not see-through, which happens a lot with white/nude coloured clothing. I have to admit, the quality is not the very best but I don't feel uncomfortable wearing it either, so I guess it's fine, especially when it only costs £22. It is well worth the money, believe me.
You can find the dress HERE

3 Things to do in C贸rdoba

I know it's been a while but I've just not been feeling like writing blog posts to be honest. Life gets busy and I just couldn't get my head around it. I took a weekend off to get back on track and I feel like it was much needed. I'm back with a travel blog post for you guys though! YAY! I took a trip down to Spain to visit my friend in Marbella and we took a day trip to C贸rdoba, which is located in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia. It's amazing how one single building makes the whole world want to visit this city! Speaking of, let me get started on the 3 things to do in C贸rdoba:

1. Mezquita in C贸rdoba

Visit the mesmerising multiarched Mezquita, which is one of the world's greatest islamic buildings. I wasn't that impressed with the outside of the mosque but as soon as I stepped in, I was impressed with the archtiecture and beautiful detailing all around the walls. It's defnitely worth a trip for every traveler! C贸rdoba is about 2 1/2 hrs drive from Marbella and quite easy to reach.

2. El Rinc贸n de Carmen

While walking through the streets of Cord贸ba, the narrow streets of the Juder铆a (Jewish quater) and Muslim quater, we found this beautifully decorated open space restaurant which serves typical local dishes such as the famous Salmorejo de Cord贸ba, a creamy cold tomato soup topped with boiled eggs and iberian ham or salty prosciutto (picture below), Rabo de toro and Flamenqu铆n. The food and service was amazing and let me not start on the super cute decoration. I would recommend to anyone to check this little gem out when you visit the city for a typical andalusian experience.

3. Puente Romano de Cord贸ba

One of the landmarks in Cord贸ba is the long bridge right in front of the Mezquita located in the histroric centre. You have a stunning view on the city from the bridge and for all the game of thrones fans, yes, this is the bridge where they filmed part of it. I'm not a fan but everyone seems to be besides me, so I might as well mention it.

I hope you enjoyed my little tour guide!

Flower Show London || Covent Garden

Everyone who know me, knows that I have a thing for flowers. I have fresh flowers in my home every week and my £3-5 flower bundles from Tesco make me very happy. It just has become a routine as my nan has always been obsessed with flowers and we always went flower shopping together.

The RHS Flower Show Chelsea has been on in London, which is the world's most prestigious flower show that inspires millions through showcasing the best in garden design. Covent Garden is one of the parts that benefits from this event and it is beautifully decorated with a lot of flower deco everywhere. Obviously coming across this flower swing, I had to take some pics as it's just the prefect photo opportunity. People literally queued to take a pic on there, lol. With just a simple flower swing you can make someones day and mine was definitely complete.

I love how ever since I moved to London there's something new to discover every day. It's been a little over two years now and there's still sooo much left to do. My next stop will be the Columbia road flower market, which is a must and dream for every flower-lover.
